He's got great skills in almost every aspect of the game, all he has to do is put it together, and that seems almost inevitable to me.

    Offense is not the problem.

I saw spurts where I saw good D out of Meyers last night. He just looks lost out there at times and that will get better with more time.

A couple of things that have stood out to me that you just don't see very often is how active he is on offense, running around setting screens, you just don't see live body legit 7 footers running all over the court like that setting screens very often. He reminded me of Varejao in that aspect. Another thing, is on long rebounds he's the first player down the court most of the time. Uncanny for a 7 footer. That to go with his free throw touch, his touch on jump shots, the passing ability, the baby hook he showed. His body is fine, he really doesn't need that much work in the weight room he just needs to learn how to use his strength.

The only thing the naysayers can talk smack about is how he's lost on defense. That comes with time.

To not recognize him as a great young talent is to be in denial and afraid to go against your original unfounded opinion.

Varejao's a decent comparison. Lot of the same skills on O. But Andy V's a great rebounder. Leonard seems like he'll be more like Brook Lopez in that respect.

I want to see him dominant the paint on one side of the floor

    Block shots
    Rebound
    Post scoring

Just something. Right now his rebounding is just okay and he's not blocking many shots. A lot of his scoring is on 10ft+ jumpers. Stotts loves him some big men that play on the perimeter.

I don't want a center that plays like some hybrid Eurotrash. I want a CENTER. I want Joel Przybilla with a little more offense. Przy was a great rebounder, weak side shot blocker AND post defender.

Or, alternatively, Jason Kapono could've been called "Luke Babbitt" and he would've been drafted in the lottery!

Ironically, Kapono was playing in Europe - but left the team because of "limited playing opportunities".

To catch a Polar Bear you first cut a hole in the ice. All around the hole place peas.
When the bear comes to take a pea...you kick him in the ice hole!

Nothing's whiter, bigger, tougher, or more likely to kill a seal than POLARNARD

From the land of the polar bear - "ice"

He had ice in his veins as he stepped back to launched that three...

    Ha!

"Polar Ice". And if he's ever named team captain...

    "Ice Cap?"
