Brandon Roy has been working out hard for the last two weeks and his right knee has shown improvement.

Roy plans to ask Rick Adelman this week if he can return to the court.

Roy, still just 28 years old, has played in just five games and is drawing a $5 million salary.

I really don't understand why he would do this the TWolves are already out of the playoff hunt. Whats he trying to prove?:dunno:

That he's worth a $5M risk next season?

Now that Minny is out of the playoff picture, I hope Roy plays well.

I can't see how Minny will pick up his option no matter how he does . . . but with Kahn, you never know.

If he does come back and he plays well I'm sure there are teams out there who will take that risk. I would bet one of those teams would be the Bobcats.

no one will take the risk. Guy played 5 games, and spent the last what, 4 months trying to get better. Only one team was stupid enough to take a flier on him, and that's Minnesota. There isn't another team that stupid.

Yet I bet you still dream about candy bars and beer, and if your health got better, you may even try them again. Especially if you were being paid to eat them, but couldn't because of your health.

It's called denial, just like how he treats his teammates on offense.

I disagree, say he comes back for the last 10 games and plays really well. It might only be 10 games but there will be a few teams that will say "What if" and he'll get that next contract.

No way in heck. The guy had to retire because of a bad knee that was bone on bone (on both knees), his "big comeback" was 5 games. No team is going to take a risk on him even if he had 10 strong games. His knees just won't hold up. There is no proof they can, or will.

Roy has enough money to start a 10 game basketball league.

And nothing is stoppinf Roy from having a candy bar at home... occasionally. Maybe with his kid in the driveway. But right now Roy wants to eat too many candy bars and drink too much beer EVERY DAY. He wants the old lifestyle that is crippling him. Yeah, if you get paid to do it, the temptation is there, but if I've already made a lotto's worth of money, I can eat more kale than candy and keep my health.

He hasn't had a beer or a candy bar for months. Maybe he feels guilty about his health not being up to the level of eating beer and candy that he is paid for this year?
