Oddly... http://www.newyorker.com/online/blo...r-ebert-wins-the-cartoon-caption-contest.html "Studies of creativity have shown that quantity breeds quality—what I call the productivity theory, because high productivity corresponds to high creativity."
You can always tell when SPD is not on the board when a straight line like this gets no response: Mrs. HCP has the same policy!
I'm certainly happy we took him. The only regret I can see having is if Drummond turns out as good as he could. (For the record: I really didn't want us to draft Drummond.) How many people believe that in three or four years Lillard will be seen as the best player from this draft class? If he is, then either he truly is a wonder, or this will have been a sucky draft class.
Why assume they're the same people? In fact, I think the people who undervalue Aldridge are more likely to be the ones who overvalue Lillard.
He does not "dribble too much". Damon Stoudamire dribbled too much. His defense definitely needs work, but I don't think for a second that his point guard skills are just average. I think he'd be averaging a full assist more per game if we had more shooters on this team. The kid needs work. Every rookie needs work. If he didn't need work, there would be something seriously wrong. Michael Jordan continued to improve his game until the day he retired.
repp'd. I have been saying this all year. I cant believe how many WIDE OPEN shots he get his teammates that they miss. EASILY one more assist a game. And I know he was way up near the top or at the top the leaders for pick and roll efficiency in college but Im not sure about the pros. I would be curious to see those stats.
For those PERheads: PGs ranked by PER: 3 Chris Paul 8 Russell Westbrook 9 Tony Parker 13 Kyrie Irving [19 Anthony Davis] 20 Stephen Curry 23 John Wall [26 Lamarcus Aldridge] 33 Deron Williams 46 Jose Calderon 48 Kemba Walker (!) 54 Mike Conley 55 Eric Bledsoe 59 Rajon Rondo 63 Ramon Sessions 64 Kyle Lowry 65 Nate Robinson 68 Isaiah Thomas 73 Ty Lawson 80 Jrue Holiday 81 Goran Dragic 95 Jeff Teague 96 Greivis Vasquez 98 George Hill 99 Damian Lillard Just sayin'.
What if he's dribbling as much as Greivis Vazquez? Let's apply your logic elsewhere: "We can't draft that guy! He plays center and he's barely six foot!" "Well, if he's the same height as Chris Paul, he must be a bum!"
