What do you say? I find myself naturally saying, "bless you," but I was thinking about it the other day and I was wondering what you would say to someone who isn't a Christian? Or religious at all? What is the non-religious thing to say to someone who just sneezed?
Really? Have we become so pc that we have to question if it's ok to say bless you to someone who just sneezed? Yeesh.
...to prevent a sneeze bite the middle of your tongue as hard as you can tolerate the moment you first get "the itch", I promise this works!
I run away, so as not to get infected. I will typically wag a finger at them and scream prior to running away...
This is funny.....we were just talking about this at work. I always look at the person and tell them, "I'd say bless you, but I haven't been to church in 20 years......who am I to bless you?"
I am of Jewish decent, and am atheist, so neither bless you nor merry Christmas work for me. That being said, if someone is nice enough to say bless you, or merry Christmas, I smile and say thank you. I'm not picky about people being nice. However, if someone does say gesundheit or happy holidays, I appreciate that gesture a little more.
I was thinking " may you feel better than the evolutionary cousin of human, the Bonobo, having sex with the historical figure Jesus Christ"
