I think the Clippers isn't the type of personnel that he wants for a title team. NY is a good place though. They have the type of talent he needs to be the winning organization.

he'll only coach the top 3 talent in the league. Miami is fairly safe. OKC perhaps if they get bounced? Kind of a small market but he's kind of a strange guy.

The Clippers are so much more talented though. Paul, Griffin, etc. Plus he wouldn't have to leave his woman in LA, and it would be a big FU to Buss Jr.

Phil doesn't want a lot of talent. He wants one of the best talents, the second best and role players. That's the way he wins titles.

Ya but money always talks if Paul Allen is willing to open his wallet.

You don't think Chris Paul is one of the best talents?

He's never had the best PG. He's always had that wing player. Melo fits right into that mold.

Half of the NY roster has one foot in the grave. I think JR Smith is going to get PAID this summer, and I don't think NY has his bird rights. Outside of Melo, who do they have? Amare? Chandler?

Wow the Knicks look like shit after this year, their fans better hope they do something in the playoffs this year.

I doubt they will. Eventually the road to the Finals goes through Miami and they simply don't have the talent to compete. Maybe if Amare was younger and healthier.

I think MIA wins it all again but I believe the Knicks did sweep MIA in the regular season this year.

Don't worry. Kingspeed says NY is winning it all this year.

legacy talks. I don't think Phil is all that concerned with Money. He doesn't want to coach a borderline playoff team.

I'd still make a run at him. Ya never know sounded like Portland got fairly close to a deal with Jackson last time. Jackson's name alone could get big time free agents to come play here.

You can't just sit there and say we don't have a chance because He doesn't want to coach a borderline playoff team. He might be our way to a championship.

Almost makes you wonder if you could pitch it as, yes you taken great teams and won championships but if you want to build on your legacy can you take a borderline team and make them great? How much greater would you look as a coach if you can do that?

Jackson would probably want the GM job as well. Maybe even be team president. Would you still give it to him?
