    TRAIL BLAZERS TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE WEDNESDAY

    WHO
    Portland Trail Blazers staff, coaches, players, clients and partners.

    WHAT
    The Trail Blazers and the NBA will make a major announcement Wednesday.

    WHERE
    The press conference will be held in the South Atrium on the concourse level of the Rose Garden.

    WHEN
    Wednesday, May 1. Media check-in opens at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific) with the press conference beginning promptly at 4 p.m.

    ROY announcement (and maybe Rose Garden naming rights??). Notice it says the Blazers AND the NBA - that would indicate it's an award.

    I hardly call either of that "major" but we did once hold a press conference to introduce Trenton Hassell after he signed his offer sheet.......

    The NBA draft results for 2007 were wrong and we actually chose Durant not Oden. The Commissioner had just read the wrong name so they have decided to finally correct the issue, we are getting the rights to Durant and the Thunder are getting the Rights to Oden.
