His team won the series 4-2. And he played a huge role in that.

Jarrett Jack always steps on the sideline waiting for the corner 3, and his head looks like he has alien ancestry. I hate that fucker.

Did a rough estimate in my head. Sorry I didnt whip out a calculator. And rounded up its 6 and 2 in 24 mins which equates to 9 and 3 in 36 mins. Which is much better than we are currently getting.

Chandler averages 10 and 1 in 32 mins. And chandler is seen as an elite defensive player and im sure people would accept him.

We have got even better rebounding numbers then that actually. Problem is the guy was playing out of position and giving up almost as much on the other side. And if you give DeAndre 36 minutes he is not going to get to 3 blocks a game. But you had to have known that.

I don't mind spending on a Center that is worth it. At DeAndre's price and production however he is not in my top 3. Top 5 sure.

Also it says he averaged 6.3 rpg in the postseason so looks like I rounded down on that one and 1.7 blocks.

Tyson Chandler is the #1 guy I'd want. Never gonna happen though :(. He would be perfect

Im not sure what DJ would do in 36 mins. Considering was averaging 2 blocks against 2 of the elite post players in the league I could see 3 being reasonable.

I am aware Hickson averaged 10 or 11 rebounds but he averaged less than a block a game, and was a complete sieve on defense. Also, JJ got scored on A LOT and gave up plenty of rebounds to larger people. Deandre won't and doesnt struggle like that. Watch Hickson vs Gasol and then Deandre vs Gasol.

I want Kevin Martin. Then I would use Matthews and go after Gortat.

For what, exactly? He can score, but he'll be next year's version of JJ Hickson. He's going to give back everything he gets for you. At least Matthews is an above average defender as well as a good shooter.

Not to mention that little guards cant just drive straight into the paint, unlike if we had a 7 foot shot blocker staying posted up back there.

Kevin Martin had that knock against him for years, yet he is so good at getting to the line and shoots well from the perimeter. He isn't a good defender, but at least he is an awesome scorer. Then use what's left for a legit defensive minded center and we should be good. We didn't have problems protecting the perimeter. We had problems protecting the paint.

No, it does not "beg" the question (pet peeve). It RAISES the question. It prompts you to ASK the question. Just not begs it.

And that's not a simple question to answer, because "best" and "available" are so fluid. Among the best FAs is Kevin Garnett - still an elite defender, ferocious competitor and beloved teammate. But he's old as dirt, so in the long run he's not best.

Also, who's available depends on how persuasive our GM is and how stupid their GM is.

I can't help it, it's just a disease. I can imagine what people with perfect pitch must feel like at a karaoke night.

Also I actually teach classes that talk about the real fallacy. That little graphic doesn't get it quite right: begging the question is when you assume as a premise exactly what you're trying to prove. Circular reasoning is a variant, like if I said I know that God exists because it says so in the Bible, which has to be true, because it's the word of God.
