There is a par 3 one-hole golf course built by the US army in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. It is surrounded on 3 sides by minefields and at least one golf shot has exploded a land mine.

Haha... some good trivia involving religion is the list of all of the famous scientologists, like Greta Van Susteren.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Scientologists

I've got music trivia for days and will post a list at another time, but for now, as I'm listening to Strawberry Alarm Clock... Ed King, guitarist from Lynyrd Skynyrd, was originally a member of the Strawberry Alarm Clock. That might not mean anything to people who don't listen to both bands' music, but the first time I figured that out, it was a complete mindfuck, to imagine a guitarist from such a psychedelic and abstract band to become one of the guitarists of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the kings of Southern rock.

I'll be back with a better and more concise list of interesting (to the general public) obscure music facts...

Wind turbines kill tens of thousands of North American bats every year. Rather than being struck by turbines, many bats appear to be killed by a sudden drop in air pressure near the spinning blades. The tiny blood vessels in their delicate lungs explode.

(They kill a lot of birds, too)

The University of Rome is one of the world’s oldest universities and was founded by the Catholic Church in A.D. 1303. Often called La Sapienza (“knowledge”), the University of Rome is also Europe’s largest university with 150,000 students.

A couple of weeks ago, I watched Shawn answer questions for an hour. He was unselfish with his time, answered all, gave forthright opinions, and was a very nice man. Then he signed autographs for another hour. Everyone should like him.

Boob hates Kemp. When I mention that Shawn gave back $30M to Paul Allen and left because he wasn't earning it, Boob just continues on, saying that the money didn't affect the cap, his stardom didn't re-emerge in Orlando, etc.

If Kobe was to miss his next 5,000 free throws in a row, he would still have a better free throw percentage than Shaq.
