The Bulls are undermanned and therefore overmatched. I expect them to fight the good fight and know they won't disappoint in this regard.
We had 5 guys with 15 points or more and lost. Their starting back court, which includes Dwyane Wade, managed 19 points combined. Their bench crushed ours. Daequan Cook, Rip Hamilton, Radman, and Malcolm Thomas did not appear. Nazr did the goon thing against LeBron and was tossed. I don't think our players being healthy would have mattered one iota. What's Deng going to do to make a difference? Hold LeBron to worse than 6-17 shooting? Score 16 points in 43 minutes like Marco did? (probably yes to the latter, maybe even match Marco's 6 assists).
What you're saying is what just about everyone in the civilized world understood coming in to this series...the Heat are better than the Bulls.
I think we're playing our best 5 guys the most minutes. Deng being healthy would mean we wouldn't have to go so deep into the five pretty awful players on the bench.
I was disappointed by the loss, but not upset. Marco, Nate, Noah, Jimmy, and Booz played about as well as you could expect them to. We contained Lebron as much as a player like him can be contained. We were hammered with ticky-tack fouls throughout the game and had to sit key players for stretches because of it. And at the end of the game we left it up to Norris Cole to beat us, and he brought out his shovel. If we can play like we did for game 3 the rest of the series then I'll be sanguine about the outcome, no matter how games the team wins.
