He's hearing that Neil wants to trade into the top 5 and the target is Oladipo. I'd wait for the lotto to actually happen first before I talk trading into the top 5.
Well, I think talking about trading up is logical, because iirc, the Blazers will either get 1-3, or 10-12.
Trading Wes would also clear up a lot of cap space if you wanted to throw a max at a guy in free agency , but would he be enough to get in the top 5? Hopefully they can get a top three pick outright so we don't have to find out.
His reach/wingspan are nearly identical to Roy, fwiw. Odd you'd hear a specific name this early. He could easily be a smoke screen.
A year ago, Olshey was very open in his preference for Lillard. Not quite this early, 5-6 weeks out, but about 3 weeks out it was becoming obvious, so all the mocks moved Lillard up to our spot at #6.
I don't see it happening. I don't think Wes is enough to move up, unless maybe we take a bad contract back too. Wes/10 for Tyrus Thomas/pick, maybe, if the Bobcats drop a couple spots?
I do not know why teams would give up cap space to get a player with similar value either. I like VO better than Wesley too.
That is written with power. Either his agent wrote it or an IU communications major got an A for the project.
Who knows, sometimes teams are stupid. Such as the Bulls trading LMA for Tyrus Thomas and Viktor Khryapa
Oladipo is a player! I would take him before Shabazz any day of the week. Not sure I would take him top 3 though and Wes is not enough to move up unless some team is really very stupid.
That's why we are destined to win the lotto! He is exactly the type of player out team needs! Let's get him ASAP!!!
