If he started randomly yelling 'shit' and 'fuck' during the games, do you think anyone would notice?

Didn't Chris Jackson have it? It shows you can have it and play at a high level.

Its not hard to see why the Blazers might be interested in Oladipo. I was most impressed with his ability to finish with either hand.

I'd really like to see us trade out of this draft.

I already was very lukewarm on this guy; seeing that clinches it. I would never draft a guy like that.

I don't think the weaknesses part made him look bad at all. It made him look like he needs to work on some things but not "bad".
He has intangibles and is a much better teammate than Shabazz.

I have a good feeling about Gobert. That kind of length and supposed agility is pretty rare.
He could be a game-changer immediately for us defensively.

What about trading down in the draft. Assuming we cannot find a good trade for an established center, and we aren't in love with BPA at 10, what about trading #10 to the Hawks for #17 and #18? Depending on which mock you read two of these players will be available:

    Gobert
    Saric
    Caldwell-Pope
    Dieng
    Hardaway Jr.

IMO there is a drop off after #10, somebody will drop to our pick.

    I would not trade down.

I agree with your basic point - but I wouldn't touch Gobert. There is minimal evidence the guy can actually play basketball. Sadly, that often becomes an afterthought this time of year.

Based on zero knowledge, other than the small bits I've read, my two choices are Shabazz and Gobert. Typically I wouldn't pick a player like Shabazz, but right now I'm willing to take a bit of a chance given that (a) our draft position isn't that great in a "weak" draft, and (b) the lack of SG talent in the league. Also, Gobert looks skinny but his height/reach is really intriguing - also, I'm assuming there'd be built-in chemistry with Nic. At only 20 he could still grow another inch or two, and should be able to put some muscle on that frame.

edit: To clarify, this is if we're picking at #10. I'll probably revise post-lotto once I start looking at players a bit more.
