In the latest update of rivals rankings, Joe Mixon jumps up 50+ spots to a 5* ranking & #15 overall http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-3235 STOMP
Ducks offer Bay Area Strong Side DE Matt Dickerson. While unrated (by rivals) now, a glance at his offers is probably a better indication of what sort of prospect he is. I couldn't find any public highlight tape, but he comes off really well in this interview. In it he relays that he's currently 6'5 275 STOMP
Offered Springs, Strong chance of landing him. I also believe that it ends our infatuation with Lockett. 247 claims we are only looking at 2 DB spots. but I feel we'll take 3. Ideally springs, McGraw, Baker. Looks like we're passing on Adoree, and Hale or will be late to the party if we miss out on our targets.
Arrion Springs is a Safety out of San Antonio Tx. who has been really wanting a Duck offer isn't Lockett more of a CB? STOMP
Espn/247 list springs as a CB, scout/rivals as a S. Remember our two other main DB targets are often looked at as S, McGraw and Baker. I suspect two will end up at CB and one will compete at S in the end. Just call them DB's and be done with it.
He's got the offer. Why the wait from Springs? Also, new DTs have popped up in the JUCO ranks. Any luck that we could offer them?
Ducks be on alert. #1 overall prospect of 2015 is from Hawaii! Lots of good prospects in the west coast! http://247sports.com/Player/Canton-Kaumatule-23735 And other notables: http://247sports.com/Player/Terry-Beckner-Jr-28553 http://247sports.com/Player/Tim-Settle-29990 http://247sports.com/Player/Jacob-Daniel-27800 http://247sports.com/Player/Jashon-Cornell-20904 http://247sports.com/Player/Alize-Jones-30416 http://247sports.com/Player/Soso-Jamabo-19127 http://247sports.com/Player/Kyler-Murray-24020 http://247sports.com/Player/Shy-Tuttle-20995 http://247sports.com/Player/Rasheem-Green-30505 http://247sports.com/Player/John-Houston-30390
rivals relayed that Lockett named the Ducks in his top 4 just last week. He said he's looking forward to visiting the state for the first time for The Opening this summer. Also a new OLine offer just went out to Texas big boy Demetrius Knox who immediately named Oregon as one of his top 5 STOMP
Knox is gonna be tough. Aside from Miami, those are good schools he has in that top 5. UCLA has been making strong progress in Texas.
from what I've read, we're one of his main interests. He's retweeted dozens of congrats from followers on the UO offer and had this to say himself... "I'm so Blessed to Recieve My 50th Offer From Oregon Ducks!!!! " https://twitter.com/Joe_MainMixon I'm reminded of conversations, here and elsewhere, where fans pined for greater emphasis of the passing game. Getting interest from top RBs every offseason is why I'm for sticking with the current run heavy formula. STOMP
Andrew Williams from Georgia loves USC and Oregon and will take visits out. Nice to see Mixon has interest. Let's make a BCS or the title game or impress.
New D-Line offer out to a high profile kid from Texas named Solomon Thomas... he's not the typical stork that they've been going after but dude can sure move STOMP
back to the stork prototype, Ducks offer another Texas DE named Grant Blankenship STOMP
Fun, what's the status on Featherston or is he sticking to the SE? If not, Grant looks like a good rebound option. And whats the status on D-line offers?
Rumor of a silent commit that might announce in a fewdays or what not. Started on Scout. Speculation includes Jones, Mondeaux. A rumor from the doogs is that JC DE Tui Talia has switched his commitment from the Doogs to Oregon.
The HS year is just ending, so prospects are about to have free time on their hands to sort through their options making visits & attending camps. From what I gather Oregon doesn't just offer a kid if they're interested in him and he checks out character wise, he also has to reciprocate the interest. As of now the Ducks have many offers out to DLine prospects all over the country, but the tape from that Thomas kid I just relayed has him at the top of my wish list for this class. I think he'd be a beast of a DT/NT. He's expressed interest in pursuing a degree in Sports Management/Business... STOMP
