Remember when the Patriot Act was a big deal? Guess who expanded its power...

Here I was thinking the Dems could have ended the Patriot Act when they held the House and had a filibuster-proof Senate in the first few months of Obama's presidency. Instead, they crammed through the foolish "Stimulus Act".

Yeah, Verizon? Just send all of your records to the new Utah data center, to be recorded forever. Thanks.

Run against Bush, then expand on Bush's already abusive policies. And his idiotic voters lap it up. It's amazing to me.

Is it willful ignorance? Cognitive dissonance? The words of Obama do not match the actions, yet I see posters here view Obama's obvious lies as reality, no matter what is happening.

Everyone thinks the internet is freedom, but really we've just let the government into our houses and our most private conversations, thoughts, and experiences. Very sad. All these companies sold us up the river.

You didn't oppose this stuff while we had a Republican president, and you won't once we have one again.

In contrast, I have said several times about Obama: He was elected to reverse what Bush had done illegally. Instead he just codified Bush's evil into law, making it legal.

I'm just curious, what is the proposed answer? I think it's a safe assumption Mitt and McCain would have done this just as much.

This is just plain stupid. Instead of addressing the problem, you deflect and say that MAYBE Mitt and McCain would have done the same.

you're right. I don't have a machine to travel between alternate realities where they were elected to prove my opinion. And that's why I said "I think."
