Rockets want Chris Paul as well as Howard:

How much cap room do the Rockets have?

Meanwhile, the Blazers have $11,858,202 in cap room. If Houston wanted that cap space (or $11.63K of it) then they could trade both Asik and Lin ($16.75K) to us for Freeland and Leonard ($5.12K). That would give them $27.8K in cap room... I guess that's not enough, though.

BUT: then they can include Thomas Robinson in one sign-and-trade, and Jones and Motiejunas in another...

    YES!

I would love for the only Volunteer in the NBA to be on the Blazers.

Sorry. Wasn't posting it to be a dick. Oh, you're wrong! Really was surprised such a big school would only have 1 NBA player, so had to check who else had been from there, and saw Mr. Funke was.

Except for the fact that Atlanta is one of the best places in the league for a black player to live while Portland is one of the very worst.

Maybe. But players hate playing in front half empty arenas. Portland may not be a huge destination for FA, but neither is Atlanta.

According to FOX Sports Ohio sources, abundant discussions are taking place in the Cavs’ front office about the possibility of drafting McLemore, and how things might unfold if he indeed became the pick. The Cavs appear to be intrigued not just by McLemore’s remarkable perimeter touch, but his explosiveness near the basket. Like most evaluators, they believe he can turn into a bona fide scoring whiz at the next level. FOXSports Ohio

Don't let the stupidity of Greg Oden's ignorance color your opinion.
Dude (Oden) is a fuckin' idiot for saying that.

Did I miss something? Since when has Portland suddenly become a desirable locale for young, wealthy black men to relocate to?

Re: 2013 Official NBA Off-season Movement & Rumors

For a trade rumor to be even remotely credible, it has to be a deal that both sides would plausibly do. Of course the Cavs would trade the No. 1 pick for Kevin Love. They'd also do it for LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Anthony Davis and on and on and on. The question is, would the Wolves do that. The answer? There is a zero percent chance of that happening. Zero. ESPN.com

Re: 2013 Official NBA Off-season Movement & Rumors

If Love came to you (as MIN Brass) and said that I guarantee you I am leaving then would you take the 1st pick for him? I think you would be smart to get something for him. He is gone. Just a matter of time. Of course I would try to deal him for an established player first.

Basically your quote is mostly true but there are always exceptions. This is not a Zero percent chance. Close to 0 but not 0.

Chad Ford's quote, for what it is worth.

You never know, but Love is a proven all-star and presumably still getting better. If Minny starts to shop Love, I think they will get better than #1 pick in this year's draft.

Steps right in with no coaching experience. This could be disastrous.

Or it could be brilliant. High risk/high reward type of move--exactly what I'd expect from a Russian billionaire gambler.
