I received an email today from the NBA alerting me that Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) has been named the league's Social Media Rook of the Year. They wanted me to share this with you and it seems like something I should share. Makes total sense that Lillard, who won Rookie of the Year, would also have the biggest increase of popularity across social media platforms. I was informed that "Roy was also the rookie with the biggest popularity on social media." And silly me, I took this to mean Brandon Roy, former Blazers rookie of the year. Really, the well-intentioned cat meant ROY=Rookie of the Year. So in a moment I wish I could have back, I tweeted that Roy also won the social media award, even as I knew the guy didn't Tweet or have a Facebook account. (I figured maybe a MySpace account for Roy??) So no --- Roy doesn't have a MySpace account or any other social media presence, and the league quickly corrected me, telling me they meant that they thought it interesting that the league's Rookie of the Year (AKA: ROY) also won Social Media Rook of the Year. You now wish you'd never opened this link. And I wish I'd never opened the email. http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/or...g_is_brandon_roy_on.html#incart_river_default
When you're paid to write, you have to fill up that white space, day after day, even if you have to put yourself down. I'm an amateur writer. I only have to post when I have a pearl of wisdom of extreme value for all of you.
It takes a big man to admit he's wrong. Also it usually takes a much larger man to stand, point and laugh at that big man.
Canzano burned because he didn't check his "facts" deserves it's own thread? Not the first time. Won't be the last. BNM
