This Texas Fillibuster is Amazing Theater

the people following/commenting on this on social media are annoying as fuck.

 

Unlike the cowardly men in the U.S. Senate who only have to say "we filibuster!" and a bill with majority vote and majority support in the population is dead, this woman had to literally stand up for her beliefs. But it's not theater, it's women's lives.

 

Hilarious how no one is talking about this on here. This board sometimes, I swear.

I suppose I'm getting disenfranchised about trying to change something in another state.

 

I kind of find these delay tactics kind of lame to be honest, no matter the issue. Talk so long so the vote can't be taken on time and that's a good way to legislate? even with congress, these stupid tactics are pretty lame.

 

Perhaps they can draw attention to an issue that some who care had been ignorant on it being an issue.
