No to Noah. See my post in the other thread, Lets assume the Blazers trade Aldridge. If we trade LaMarcus - TANK!
Noah is locked up until 2016. He's one of the top defensive centers in the league and a guy that always leaves it all on the floor. He's a great veteran presence that is still in his 20's. It's not like we are talking about Tyson Chandler.
Tell that to CP3, Melo and D12. All he has to say is he won't sign a contract extension and the team won't trade for him.
Which is exactly why he would very unhappy being in Portland WASTING his prime years on a rebuild project in the freakin' boonies.
You don't build around 28 year-olds players (but the Spurs can build around 30+ year-old players)! Regards, Somebody on this board
Noah may be the most 'cosmopolitan' player in the NBA, given his dad, and how he lived all over the world, including NYC. Noah in Portland would hilarious, but not in a good way.
Who can we get a 2014 1st rounder from? These are some of the teams that own their own pick (I think): Bucks Cavs Celtics Jazz Lakers Magic Pelicans Wizards Raptors Suns
Trade our best player and the best player involved in the trade so that we can "fill some holes" on our roster. Everybody knows that quantity over quality wins in the NBA. It's a fool-proof strategy.
