I would do that in a heartbeat. And the 5 + 10 for VO too. I don't like this pandering in between a full rebuild and potentially signing average centers to fill holes. Go big, and minimize the risk if possible by just giving up shitty picks and capspace. Even if EJ goes down, it wouldn't set us back all that much if we don't give up a lot to get him.

That's insane. Gordon doesn't have THAT much negative value, if any at all. I'm fairly sure NO isn't going add additional assets to try and dump Gordon. At least one team will give up an asset in order to take a flier on Gordon.

You might be right, but the rumor was that he was "very available" so who knows. Maybe they'd be willing to sack the pick to get him off the books? I'd actually be willing to give up Batum to do a Gordon/Oladipo combo.

"Very available" could mean a number of things, but just because a guy is "on the block", doesn't mean they're trying to straight up dump him. Given the choice of keeping Gordon or adding an asset to dump him, I think the answer is pretty clear. This is someone that was considered a rising star two years ago. He's still 24 years old, it's not like he's doomed forever.

If that's the case, next May you can expect the following words to be said: "And the #1 pick of the NBA draft goes to...the Los Angeles L*kers!"

Wiggins in the Purple & Piss. Book it.

That's actually a really good deal for the Nets. They are in a "Win now" mode.

Starting line-up of Deron, Johnson, Pierce, Garnet and Lopez is a sick starting 5
