One started for a 45 win team, the other for a 33 win team. You'd think the "much better stats" would translate into wins, eh?

See who has the "much better" defense stats. Like votes for all nba defensive team or DWS. The point being Deng is recognized as one of the top defensive players in the league.

How about we switch coaches and have the conversation again?

Give us Phil Jackson, doc rivers, or any top notch coaches and we immediately are a better team. Also; we had the worst bench in the entire league. The second to last had a 15 point edge on us.

Lmao at your get Aldridge for deng campaign.

Aldridge is the best PF and the top 3 big man in the NBA right now so what I meant is the Blazers wont get fair player to player value for him. Anyway like I said I don't buy that Aldridge really wants out I think it's more of the fact that Aldridge just does not want to rebuild. PA needs to show some players where the money is at and that's the only way the Blazers will get back to the WCF or championship contenders. Tell me what championship contending team doesn't overspend\trade for there players nowadays?

The bulls had 8 DLeaguers or vets who sucked. Including Kirk Hinrich at starting PG; the guy struggled to get his FG% over .300 and his PER over 10 all season, and was torched consistently on defense.

The Bulls played Boozer at C because Noah's only backup was Nazr Mohammed.

    Excuses, excuses.

Arguably he is the best. Deng is a top 5 SF in the league, too.

For mags' sake, since he doesn't read, I don't want to trade Deng for Aldridge, even straight up. Worst case is we play Boozer, starting PF on the team with the best record in the NBA two straight years (before Rose injury), and the we get to see Mirotic at PF for a decade. Worst case is Taj pays and gives us great D and hustle.

LMA has a 6 year shorter window than Mirotic, as well.

A deal would put the Bulls in the position of paying ~$40M for 3 PFs. Amnesty of Boozer is possible, but we would still be over the cap and forced to use MLE type money to replace him. Like him or not, he's good enough, and good enough to be near impossible to replace with the MLE. Besides, we could use the MLE to get a backup C or other rotation player.

And yet their bench out scored ours by 25 a game.

Because they started a lot of games, leaving our bench as thin as yours.

Dude you weren't watching the games then. A lot of our bench had to start because of injuries.

Now you're being lame. Belinelli started more games than your entire bench combined, and your starters out scored ours by 25 a game.

Yep they sure did. That's our only offense. And because of that; they folded at the end of the season with injuries and fatigue.

You having a bench that can score can keep the team fresh for the entire season.

    Your arguments are lame

The Bulls have three stellar assets. They are, in order of importance:
    1. Tom Thibodeau
    2. Joakim Noah
    3. Derrick (Derek?) Rose

I list Noah over Rose because I happen to think he's more important to the team. He's a leader and an incredible defender. Rose is like a slightly poor-man's Dwyane Wade, which is damn good, too.

Of the rest, Deng is pretty important, but now overpaid, and the kid from Marquette is a much cheaper replacement. The Bulls are like the Spurs: they've got an awesome system and it makes role players look better than they really are. You thought Nate Robinson was the bees knees, and indeed, he looked great at times in the playoffs. So why aren't Chicago trying hard to re-sign him? Because they know they can find a bargain basement replacement. Just like San Antonio does.

Aldridge would be a major fourth asset and the difference between not getting to the EC finals and contending for a title. We know it, and they know it.

Exactly. Having Noah, rose and Aldridge would be epic.
