Quick question for you guys. How much do you think Jeff Teague will be paid? Evans is getting 12 million a year. Honestly, if I'm paying that much for a guard, I'd rather get Teague. Averaged 15/7 last year in 33 minutes. Great young point guard.

I'm thinking he can get $9-10 million. Probably goes back to Atlanta though.

Nothing in FA will get done until Dwight Howard will decide where he wants to play, which knowing him could take 5 off-seasons

Remember when the Blazers made the playoffs 21 straight times in a row?

That is absolutely ridiculous. How is it possible that he couldn't get any more than that? Our does he just love playing for Brooklyn that much?

I don't think this is right. I looked at the CBA FAQ, and the only S&T restriction seems to involve tax paying teams.

Why does anyone think we need to give up anything but cap space for Lopez? It's NO that's in a tough spot. Even if he were sought after by teams, maybe they could get a 1st round pick in the 20s. But needing to dump him? I say we demand a couple of 2nds back along with Sideshow Bob.

There are a ton of teams with cap room. You don't think a team like Cleveland would take a flier on him and toss in a couple of seconds or something? His contract isn't bad by any means.

If they did, he would already be gone. Why pay retail for him?

I don't look at it that way. A deal may already be on the table. The Hornets have every reason to wait for a good trade to come along. Besides, they can't technically sign Evans until after July 10th anyways. There's nothing to be gained from shipping out Lopez right away.

Minnesota has 4 year offers out to J.J. Redick and Chase Budinger, sources tell Y! Redick is priority, but Wolves want to sign one of them.

Minny sure loves their white guys...

I can imagine Redick's value is going to get a little distorted at this point. He'll probably reap the benefits of being one of the best available FA's after the big names are off the board. I mean, that latest rumor was Bledsoe for Redick. He may be the best pure shooter in the game, but Bledsoe's a pretty steep asking price for a guy like J.J. Redick.

As for the latest with Tony Allen, the mayor of Memphis came out today and more or less plead for him to return... called him a face of the city, a staple of the community, etc. Allen also wants to stay in the city, but it seems like the cap the Grizz have set on his contract is still around $6 mill a year though, and they might let him walk if it gets pushed to $7-8 mill.

Any chance the Blazers would pay that much for Allen? I've heard the Pacers are floating their MLE, which is unlikely to net Allen, and Milwaukee might be competitive with the Grizzlies' $6+ mill offer, but I haven't heard too much from Portland today.

Apparently Dallas is pursuing Budinger as well -

"The Mavs were also reportedly among several teams to reach out to small forwards Andre Iguodala and Chase Budinger and shooting guard Kevin Martin. One team source considers Iguodala to be the third-best player in this free-agency crop, behind only Howard and Chris Paul, who has already committed to re-sign with the Clippers."

Underrated acquisition if he can be had for cheap... but if the interest keeps growing, you might run the danger of overpaying...

If we end up trading Batum or Matthews, forget anything I'm about to say...

But with a 2/3 rotation of Batum/Wes/CJ/Crabbe/Claver/Barton, do we really need to look at guys like Tony Allen or Redick or Budinger or Martin? Or Webster, for that matter? I mean, I understand the Ridnours/Augustins/Livingstons, or the bigs, but I don't see why we'd even be interested in FA 2/3s--especially those who are available for an MLE-ish price or less.

Those wing free agents might not be the best fit at this moment but the are probably the best talent we can add to the roster. ZaZa or Kaman arn't as valuable over a replacement level player. If there is an injury to one of Lillard/CJ/Wes/Batum, which I would say is unfortunately much more likely than not, then all of the sudden we have no depth again. Adding a wing also puts us in a better position to pull the trigger on a a trade.

I really think we could use a guy who can play b/u 2/3 that can handle the ball and feed the post a bit, especially if we're actually planning on having Dame and McCollum as our PG's. I'd be very open to having a big PG (who can guard SG's) to round out the rotation too though, as I think the more you get to have those guys off the ball the better, and it'd serve LMA well.

I think Vince Carter would make some sense, especially if Dallas is going young. But you only trade for him if we're going to be somewhat of a contender, or he won't be motivated. Maybe if we get Asik things make some sense.

I really like the thought of brining in Andre Miller for 20 mpg. The only thing is you can't play him w/any weak shooters, and you probably can't play him with Wes, as neither guard 1's or 3's super well. However, our team right now is full of great shooters and you'd really have him splitting 2G minutes with Wes. He is under contract and overpaid, but if Iggy doesn't re-sign in Denver it doesn't make sense for him to stay during somewhat of a youth movement.
