You probably haven't heard about this because 1) crime stories are local stories and 2) crime stories that do leap to national attention are rarely black on white crime (despite it being more common than white on black crime). There is a blackout among the national media regarding black on white crime, which occurs at rates greater than white on black. As well, black on black crime rates are much higher than that of white on white crime. Blacks who fear being crime victims should worry more about other blacks than the Zimmerman's of the world. The White Kills Black advanced stats are still twice as high when normalized to account for population percentages; there's so many white people that you can't hardly fire your gun in the air without hitting one. On a slightly more serious note, I wonder what the conviction rates are for those two pools of murders.
On a micro level, sure. On a macro level? That kind of credit profile doesn't exist in those neighborhoods. Banks care about one thing: money. If they can find a way to make a buck, they will.
