I'm pretty sure anything that is discussed for real will not be published. Like it or not, it's going to be wait and see.

Because Boozer is a big upgrade over Johnson, and they would probably get Mirotic or the CHA pick from Chicago as well.

I was originally constructing the deal with Derozan, but several others in this thread already dismissed him as garbage, so I tried something else...

Toronto is giving up the best pieces, why should they get the WORST piece back? (Boozer =/= positive value)

Denny Crane would disagree with you.

I was also looking at a 3-way where Boozer/Deng go to Toronto, and Gay/Aldridge go to Chicago, but I can't figure out a permutation that seems to make sense there either.

    Oh well--I tried.

    IMO

    Chicago has no assets.
Toronto does, but LMA's peeps would let them know that he would not stay.
The Clips are not trading Griffin. as they prefer more of a "Show Time" look
The Warriors have assets, but I don't see it happening anymore.
Orlando has assets, but same scenario as Toronto
Dallas has no assets, although I bet they think Ellis will be next summer

I still think Houston makes most sense. Jones is having a big summer. If Neil likes Asik then that would be a plus. They just need one more piece.

Lin would be an adequate back up PG. Too bad his contract is back loaded. Not an ideal package for Portland, but I guess it comes down to how much the home town Jones has progressed. He was co-MVP in Orlando. Anyone watch him? He and Robinson would be OK at PF. Asik gives us depth at C and Lin allows cJ to come off the bench at SG.

We would be deep. But none are as good as LMA. But not sure we will get someone who is.

You know what I took away from this? True or not this is another sign that the season has the potential to be a media circus around here and a huge distraction. And the sad part is that if this not true then this is simply more fuel to fire as to why LMA eventually will want out of the PDX media market. I want LMA to stay but a huge part of me is beginning to think it might be time to start thinking about protecting against losing Lillard at some point by way of trade demand if this goes bad with LMA.

Love the Orlando trade but what the hell does that leave Orlando with? I fear we are going to end up getting hosed in a trade.

I don't see their coach approving the inclusion of Noah. I hate fucking Boozer and Deng is in the last year of his contract. I am not helping Chicago....again

    Butler
    Mirotic
    Snell
    Charlotte 1st
    Chicago 1st
And yes Deng. Seems to me Deng could easily be dealt at the dealing making the haul for Aldridge even more

The real team to do business with would be Houston, IMO. I think the deal won't come until next season though. I would suspect we would trade Lopez too. I would look for a three-way that would probably send us asik, a pick and another younger player.

Gonna say this, and it's probably gonna get "huh" from a lot of you; but t rob maybe a good asset. He maybe a 12+ rebounding PF as a starter. I can't remember who said it in the beginning of this thread, but he could be like our buck Williams.

Maybe we should find a back up vet PF, decent draft pick and a really good wing that can penetrate and draw fouls?

    Who could that be?

Detroit is the team looking to win now seems like. Or if BKN wants to risk it a bit, Lopez for LA would be great for us.

But I want Drummond. LA for Drummond + Charlie V I would do. If they insist on keeping him, then I would take extended Monroe + Singler + 1st

No way! Use a third team them and let them use Monroe to send to another team.

Detroit will not send out Drummond. There is absolutely no chance of this and I would hate to have Monroe. Singler is not the wing in looking for and their pick would be non-lotto if they get Aldridge.

It's better than getting Butler as the best piece back in a trade for LA.

That's actually not a bad idea. It would be fucking hilarious if we got the Lopez brothers! Haha

They're not trading Drummond. He's the face of the franchise now. And I don't want Monroe - he's another Al Jefferson.

Detroit needs guards. They're happy with their bigs. Besides: Aldridge has to sign off on the trade and I'm not sure he'd be happy enough with Detroit that they'd be convinced he'd stay.

Not bad with the Charlotte's pick being unprotected. But it is not certainty that Mirotic would come over and Butler and Snell are just OK. You are right about Deng at the deadline. Maybe for Asik? It is a risky trade but over all ........not bad for the long term future

I haven't read the thread, but sometimes I feel like big market teams fuel these discussions because they want a player.
