"I love the way he controls the pace of the game. Makes great decisions out there, can shoot the ball. Really great guard to play with. A special guard." - Larry Sanders on Damian Lillard
NBA @NBA Damian Lillard knocks down the trey during the #USABMNT scrimmage, live on @NBATV. instagram.com/p/cHvrc7xhxC/ Casey Holdahl @CHold . @Dame_Lillard with another made pull-up 3. He's having a great day in scrimmages.
For anyone who cares, it started again from the top just now. Same link posted above works. Just got home from work. Can finaly watch it
Must be on "NBATV"? Fucking amateurs. Why they choose to show the talking heads on the screen during the game, instead of the game, is mind boggling, and it really pisses me off.
Dame post practice interview: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2013/07/23/20130723-usab-lillard-interview.nba
I am growing to hate NBA-TV producers and their contempt for the game of basketball. Because they are bored with the game, they think that viewers are the same, and tune in to watch interviews during games.
Seriously. Did you see the SL game where they interviewed some Russian scout? WhyTheFuck did they think it was so important to fill the screen with his ugly face, instead of the game? Interview him, OK, if you feel you must, but I don't want to be forced to look at his giant head while the game is going on. Jeezus it's just common sense. They did the same thing every freaking game. And then of course, there was the press conference to announce "news" that everyone knew months ago, that took up an entire quarter of the game I tuned in to watch. It's incompetent and inexcusable.
Barrett & Rice used to do Blazer Summer League. Lately it's been NBA-TV. The former consumed most of a quarter with a super-boring GM interview. At first they did this in only 1 game in the series, for half a quarter, and I hated it. Each year it became more games, and more of the quarter. For the last couple of years, NBA-TV has done it. They waste a full quarter, every single fucking game. The NBA-TV guys do several games each day. They're tired and bored. The Blazers are not their home team. This year, even during the 3 quarters without an interview, Sam Mitchell bullshitted about his basketball philosophies for 10 minutes at a time, right through many exciting plays. This is worse than it would be in the regular season because then, we know all our players, and also recognize many players on the other team. So we can live without play-by-play, although we'd rather not. But in Summer League, we have trouble recognizing who just did what, while the commentators refuse to do their jobs. They abandon us when we need them the most.

Dude! That deserves its own thread. You do this a lot brother! Take credit and lets make a new thread!
Damian will be better defensively this year by just getting more calls his way. As he alludes to in this article, early on in the season he backed off because he was picking up fouls. Later in the season...not as many. Rookies get picked on, plain and simple. He will play more aggressively this season, no doubt.
