Just end this already. He hasn't hit in three months.

They are treating him like he is Mickey Mantle, It's not a legend, give the roster spot to another reliever, since that is all we can develop on the farm.

Girardi refuses to stop making excuses for him. If I see his name in the lineup tomorrow I am going to lose it. They really need to make a few more trades and very very quickly.

If Girardi starts calling him "Haffy" - then Hafner here's to stay for a very long time.

Yea it's really difficult to replace a guy hitting .100 for the last 3 months.

You do realize what you are trying to replace here? Is the farm so bad that it can't produce a guy who can do better than hafner has since April?

I think even this horrid farm can get a guy up here to hit better than hafner has.

I agree. I would put Mesa in there as the full time DH at this point unless something better comes along on the trade market. Hafner is done.

Hafner's days are numbered. As soon as Granderson and Jeter come back there's zero reason to keep Hafner around. The DH spot is going to be crowded with Jeter needed his days there and extra outfielders like Ichiro.

Three guys are coming off the DL soon plus the Arod saga. This "MRI" is just a respectful elimination of Hafner.

No question about that and it looks like Romine is starting to hit and Nunez could be a bottom of the lineup factor. Time to let Hafner walk, cannot feel sorry for a man who is making what 2 million and flubbing the dub. Get it done Yankees.
