Baseball is boring, yes, but the NFL is terrible as well. Just a bunch of clowns flexing their biceps and acting like morons after every play.
I didn't watch any baseball for like 15 years but now that the O's are back in contention I got the MLB package.lol
It's boring because the Yankees and the Mets aren't very good. New York is a huge baseball town and to think or say otherwise is foolish. As or football I always look forward to it because I'm a huge fan and unlike other sports I can watch games even when the Giants aren't involved.
I'm a Jets fan and a Mets fan, that should explain why I cant wait for October 3. My girl is an Oriole fan and a Penguins fan. It gets weird.
The NFL is not terrible. It is by far the best regular season sport. Every game is huge and you can analyze it all week. There is a reason the NFL is a money making machine. The product is amazing. Yes, the players are morons with behavior. I ignore that and watch the games.
It's a great product that has to for sure clean up the behavior and culture as compared to the other sports. That being said the ratings for NFL games are just through the roof. Stations don't even bother putting programming of any substance up against it. On Sunday and Monday nights people just tune into the games just to have it playing on the televisions even if they're not sitting and watching.
By the way, I dont necessarily buy the argument that baseball is boring. Baseball is a great game and has been enjoyed and celebrated for generations. The lack of interest in baseball today is more a reflection on today's society. Everybody wants instant action, instant gratification, instant news, etc. The Twitter generation can't be bothered with a baseball game. Yes it's a slower sport but that doesn't make it boring. Just that nobody wants to wait anymore. And this is coming from a Mets fan who hasn't seen his team play a meaningful game since 07.
These kids are absolute losers with twitter. They announce the most meaningless events of their day. Just ate breakfast. Just took a dump. Just saw a weird person in the store. Will somebody talk to me. Pathetic.
Completely agree...If you aren't an important figure or a news beat reporter and you actually post things on Twitter you need to get a life
Interesting view since as adults we spew our opinions on what some would cosider a waste of time...on a message board. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
On a sports message board you offer opinions about sports. Usually a specific topic. These losers on twitters just report meaningless, stupid details of their everyday life that nobody freaking cares about. Like, I'm bored, I'm hungry, I hate you, I just had a great workout. Just another example of the pathetic youth in this country and have incompetent they are.
Every generation can and have said the same things about the younger generation. Hell I remember my grandfather bitching about kids talking on the dam overrated useless thing called the telephone..." Back in my day we didn't sit in the house on that corded machine. ..went outside on our bikes and talked in person" Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
This generation has gone way beyond that to the point where they are an embarrassment. I can't tell you how many times I see people who go to the gym or for a walk and can't do it without talking on the stupid phone. Pathetic. I saw two losers in a restaurant who both started texting on the phone. They were so pathetic they couldn't even talk to each other. The girls are the worse and IMO it's leading to young obesity. The amount of fat, young girls in H.S. is starting to get out of control. They sit inside all day eating cookies and ice cream, texting instead of getting their fat asses outside for some exercise.
Twitter is an absolute embarrassment to society and all these people who use it to tell us how they just woke up from a nap are a disgrace. Facebook is not much better.
Social media is one of the worst things to happen to society. I think the instagram and picture things are worse. NOBODY is in the moment anymore, if something cool is happening or somebody is doing something interesting its "I need to take a picture and upload it to show everyone else how good of a time I'm having. I hope I get some Likes!" People are more concerned with letting the world know they are doing something cool rather than actually enjoying what it is they are doing. Case in point: people taking pictures of their god damn dinner and posting it on the internet.
surprised Al doesn't know the difference between having a hockey conversation and people posting a "selfie" on FB/Twitter followed by "i just got up from a nap"
