Kansas City only one game behind the Yankees

    The Royals got red hot winning nine of ten and play the Mets this weekend. They made up a lot of ground and are only one game behind the Yankees in the wild card standings. That's five teams in the mix for the final wild card spot. The Yankees need to get on a major roll.

    It starts tonight with CC. His every-5-day "I suck and I'm not helping the team" post-game speech that we've heard far too many times this season can't be part of the story tonight. The guy has to figure it out, and get it together.

    Of all the guys back, coming back, and everything in between, He is the one guy we need to go on one of those roles where he is 8 inning pitched, 2 Runs allowed or better dominant. And if Granderson could hit a few taters, then maybe it could unlock the flood gates. Oh and one more thing, while in San Diego, kidnap Headley please!

    Yeah the Yankees have been looking to see who's in front of them, they forgot to look over there shoulder.
