    I'd love to sit down and get a beer with Golliver, though, just to see where he is coming from in what appears to be rampant negativity toward the Blazers these days.

    Is Golliver serious? Vasquez is being criminally underrated if he doesnt think they lost a key piece. Sure Jrue was an all-star last year, but Vasquez was huge last year.

    Lopez was a decent loss for them this offseason too.

    And yes, it makes total sense to spend a ton of money on a non-shooting SG when you already have one on a max deal in Eric Gordon.

    The Pelicans had a fine offseason, but come on.

    I like Jaynes and think he gets unwarranted attacks here. I don't agree with everything he says, but he is usually on the mark. He's written about the Blazers for a long time. I remember when he had a column on the Journal. How many remember that newspaper?

    I have nothing against Jaynes. He doesn't look the part. If he were younger and better-looking, fans would feel more comfortable with him. He did look foolish, claiming Allen was selling the team, but usually when he's negative it's mild and deserved.

    Golliver tries to be negative with a lot of effort, and it feels forced and mean. The only thing Golliver has written that was useful was this information. It was so rare for him, I saved it.
