something else I have been thinking on..you mentioned how other nations were thirsting for the word, and how here the church was idle..I can see where we need a new spirit of revival in this nation. When we are mocked, my first thought wes to ignore them, but I believe that there are times I should engage..almost like to not do so would be aginst his teachings. Your opinion?
Engaging to the extent that it's done with the utmost respect. Jesus said "truth in love". We are to be salt and light to the world. Salt is a pleasing seasoning, as well as a preservative. Light exposes the dark. It's a tall order. When you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you "engage" in the world. There's no shame in standing up for what you believe in, though. 1 Peter 3:15-16
for you, my friend John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Very true, very true, my friend. I can't wait to get to church in the morning! Missed last week with my tooth fiasco.
Do you live in the area? Would love for you to be my guest one of these Sundays. For now, we meet in a school in Clackamas. That would be awesome!! Tim
mid valley, but thank you from the heart circumstance allows that I must provide attention to my mother on sundays, she is no longer able to take care of her self, she lives with my wife and I . Sundays and her relief time so to speak
Not everyone thinks that way. You're doing a good thing. Glad you feel that way. I do a lot of things (shop, pharmacy runs, bank and other errands, housework, misc.) for my 90-year-old parents.....so I'm on the same page with you. I love my parents. They've done so much for me...it's the least I can do at this point in life.
you know, if you ever have a reason travel south, me casa es su casa amigo. Sundays are faverable or evenings anytime..holidays are a free for all and friends and family are allways welcome..jeesh thanksgiving may be 15 to 30 but nobody ever goes away hungry..you have an open invite
My friend, BlazerWookee, lives in, I think, Albany or Lebanon. Do you live in that neck of the woods?
I guess you may have figured out that I am protective of family, hahaha but I think if a wookie was a friend, he would be welcome to break bread as well
