notice they don't say anything about the races of the people involved. CNN did the same thing in their "reporting". Absolutely no mention of race. The kid that was beat up only ended up with 2 black eyes and a broken hand. Those are serious enough injuries to warrant felony charges. :MARIS61:

I don't think it would be fair to expect some 64 year old guy to jump into a fight against three teenagers. It should be completely up to him. Lots of bus drivers are part-time people making not much money. Otoh, if he didn't check on the kid after the other kids stopped, or at the very least after the other kids got off the bus....that's a problem. If true, I can see why the police are looking at him. Be interesting to see what the school district does to the kids. ABM, I think the idea of a stun gun or taser might make sense. Pepper spray would affect most of the kids on the bus, so I'm not sure that would be the way to go. Go Blazers

I thought the bus driver acted appropriately. He called to reported it, practically begged police to come as quickly as possible and yelled for them to stop. A 64 yr old stepping into that could just as easily end in a heart attack for the bus driver as it could to him breaking it up. No way should they press charges on him. As far this being racial . . . probably some racial tenison going on but I see it as a bunch of thug kids picking on a weak kid.
