Yea and no farm. Thats why when i mapped out my plan in that other thread most of the moves required a free agent signing to become competitive next year. Its not good. Not one single hole can be filled from within. Even Phelps and Pineda cant really be relied on. Its pretty bad..... at just about EVERY single goddamn position. Its really disgraceful.

MLB "Experts" Brian Kenny & Harold Reynolds pretty much wrote off the Yankees today. Very embarrassing how out team is trashed by everyone.

Yeah 5545, for the players who have had to gut this season out and busted their humps I feel sorry for. I liken it to being a soldier on the front and the general tells you there is no help coming. The Front Office all the way down to the mail boy has let this team and fans down.

Blue the only possible quick fix is with throwing money, I'm so sick of that model. I would love to have 5 to 6 guys major league ready in the minors at 3B, SS, CF, C, SP, Sp,Sp,Sp. Ok, I;m back from my dream.

If the Yankees can add as few as 2 position players to next years roster. (McCann & Morales) Nova, Cc, a healthy Pienda (forgive the spelling) & perhaps another pitcher. and you've got a pretty decent team.

Rick I feel that you have hit the only possible fix. We have to add F.A.'s. McCann would fill the biggest need. Where do you play Morales? You have to give the benefit of doubt to CC. All pitchers have a bad year. But they have to find the answers for him going forward. Nova has won before, and he looks totally different since coming back. Phelps (injury), Nuno (Groin), and Pineda could be all low cost answers.

Morales is a DH / 1st baseman so between the two I think he'll get plenty ABs.
