If CJ's going to be all that and cut into Wesley's minutes then why not... http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k9l65ay
Well if CJ can really play this trade might be that bad.I also thin Watson could work his way into the rotation if needed. He's a very smart PG.
No thanks... Wes provides D and shooting and is on a decent contract if CJ outplays him then just move Wes to his natural spot as a really good 6th man. If we are to make the playoffs we need a guy like Matthews on the team.
I like the idea of adding a defensive big instead of Lenoard, but Wes is our only good perimeter defender so its would be more of a lateral move for this team. If we are going to acquire another defensive big it should be to win now and in that case Wes shouldn't go.
There is no point talking about trades until we at least know what we have. If we get through preseason and CJ is a baller, I could see Wes getting moved. I still like Asik. I think Houston will move him, but for the right price. I would do Matthews and Leonard for Asik, and then bring Lopez off the bench, but none of it matters until we know how well CJ, Wright, and Williams are going to play for us.
Ya then we can just bump Williams down to the 7th man. I'm sure that will work just like Jamal said he would be fine with a sixth man role for the Blazers a few years ago.
I don't think it's terrible. I mean we're talking about CJ being the next Monta Ellis aren't we? The Blazers get a defensive big out of the deal.
Well since that deal cannot happen until mid season; lets take a look at what we have right now shall we? Who knows what we will need by mid season. Maybe we don't need anything?
