...that's not what I meant, but you already knew that, didn't you?...what part of "platoon move" don't you understand ?...I'll restate it just for you, what platoon 1Bman were they suppose to get? ...this is not about overall and/or long term direction, or bashing Cashman at every opportunity, or whether or not this season has been a disaster...but instead, about simply acquiring Reynolds for a simple reason...but thanx for taking it to different level entirely....if you're not going to stay on topic and in the proper context of what I was saying and why, don't respond at all.
And if you can't understand why people are pissed off about what's become of this team then I don't know what to tell you. What are we supposed to cheer this move? Who gives a shit is what I say. There are far bigger issues with this team and your are dam right that I bashing and bitching about cashman. He is a disgrace and I have been saying it for years now. People are finally starting to get it, but the signs have been there for a while. To hell with Reynolds and to hell with cashman and the rest of this incompetent front office. Platoon move....it's a move like vette suggested that points out everything we are sick and tired of and everything that is broken with this organization.
Vette, I hear you. However there are 2 issues in this discussion not one. The first is really the bigger concerned. And that is the failure of the organization to provide better results than what vette has pointed out. And just like today in Philadelphia, where they fire Manual for the product Amaro has put on the field, and with Angels, this is Cashman's desperate attempt to catch lighting in a bottle. And that is the second issue. For me, because it appears that everyone we have at AAA (Ruiz) is a AAAA player. Because as bad as this year has been, and there should be accountability after the season, (not using injuries), with six weeks to go, Reynolds is better than Overbay vs lefthanders. So today we are a little better. Was it the move we wanted, was it the right move, is it a preview to things to come involving Arod. Of course not, but in the end, this off season, Hal has to step up, be visible, and lead this organization. Cashman should have been fired for his conduct and inabilities. So we now are the NYY, known for PED's, the biggest scumbag of a player in Arod, the biggest scumbag of a gm in Cashman, and here we are in Fenway on a August night when baseball meanssomething and we have to hear another Arod story on top of all the rest. I want what we all want, I want my Yankees back, and I don't give a shit if we win a World Series, but at least act like a professional baseball organization and not let these pieces of shit like Arod, or Cashamn fuck up the #1 sports organization ever. PS/ If I'm Cervelli, I may get the shit beat out of me, but I'm going to knock Arod right in the mouth, in front of my teamates. Suspend me, trade me, whatever, but get this cancer out of the locker room.
...like I said, dumbass, this isn't about your constant daily petty Cashman hate...it's about the signing of Reynolds, nothing more, nothing less...and also like I said, if you can't stay on topic, don't respond. ...and "to hell with Reynolds"?...3-0 Yanx...good call, genius.
And like I said about the signing of Reynolds....who gives a shit. Oh joy he hit a HR. yah. What a signing.
^^^ points and giggles. ...and yes, it was a good signing...sorry to disappoint you...but it is however, nice to see you finally back on topic...but you're still too stupid to grasp what a simple "platoon move" means. Picking up Reynolds for essentially the league minimum was a no brainer...but in typical fashion, you find a way to interject your Cashman hatred into it.
I'll hold off my judgement until Reynolds has played 10-15 games. Right now I'm still picking crow out of my teeth from that 2nd inning HR.
...rick, I don't expect him to be some sort of savior...but he has a good glove as compared to Overbay and when facing LHed pitching, he's an upgrade over Overbay...I'm sure before long we will be dog cussing Reynolds for striking out so often but again when compared to Overbay he is simple a good platoon move...difference maker/...we'll see.
What you don't get is that I don't give a crap about the marginal upgrade in a platoon situation for a crappy flawed team. 2013 is not my concern. The future of this team is what matters and the hands this team are in have no clue what they are doing. So yippee for Reynolds and his occasional HR power. As I said. I don't give a shit if he is on this team or not but it is what he represents that gets me.
...no, I DO get it....and what you don't get, dumbass, is that this thread is about Reynolds, who was just acquired...but you decide to make it into your Yankee/Cashman hate fest. For about the 3rd fucking time, this is not about the general state of the Yankees, or about the ability of its management, and never was, until you decided on your own, to try to make it into something else entirely...great job, take a bow. ...and sorry to break it to you, but unlike you, some people are not throwing in the towel yet and so for them, 2013 IS "a concern". ...simple question, and try as best you can to not go off on yet another tangent, are the Yankees better off with Reynolds facing LHed pitching than with Overbay?...yes or no?
Sure they are a little better. But again, who cares. He isn't a difference maker. He doesn't help the real issues. He is yet another in a long line of bad aids. So sorry if you chose to ignore the big picture while some of us do not. This thread is about Reynolds and as I said, what he represents is everything wrong with this team. You don't like the direction I'm taking this? Too damn bad.
...lmfao...you could have stopped right there...glad the actual crux of this thread finally sunk in. ...and he "isn't a difference maker"?...gee, no kidding?...who said or implied that he was or was expected to be?...see "platoon move".
