A lot of the list is crap, but some of it is meaningful.

Maybe, just maybe, there are fewer workers in the workforce because baby boomers are retiring. The workforce is supposed to be getting smaller like that, otherwise SS and medicare wouldn't be doomed.

That is the thing that bugs me most about these "facts" and "lists" that people promote. All these lists are just someone who wanted to find anything negative about the economy (or whatever issue they are passionate about) and list them, and pin them on the president (whoever that president is).

It doesn't always fit logic, facts and actual truths, but it sure makes for a neat email you can forward!!!

Like the gas thing...the ONLY reason gas had gone down was because the government (etc) had actually done something to make it appear that they were going to go after the oil companies and the oil companies flinched...for a short while.

Then once they realized the government was bluffing, prices rose again. It had nothing to do with who was in office, and it has nothing to do with who is currently in office.

    Meanwhile, in Russia:

If we built 500 of these, our economy would be way better. Thanks, Obama.

It's true, but it's not necessarily a direct or even related correlation

He had half of TARP and all of his $800B "emergency" stimulus (slush) fund to spend.

We should ask why our recovery from this recession is so different. This recession should have been like the deep and painful one in 1981-82, which then had a remarkable recovery. Instead, this one has been the worst since the Great Depression. In fact, it most closely models the recession of 37-38, which was only recovered from by WWII.

Usually, the deeper the trough, the bigger the bounce. This one seems to have a lead weight tied to it.

A lead weight with "never let a good crisis go to waste" carved in it.

Is it your contention that if only this Administration was allowed to proceed unfettered, we would have had a shockingly sharp recovery? The years 2008-2010 would disagree with you.

d's and r's both are selling this nations middle class into debt slavery. obama is just the current guy, then will be the next, and the next.

and as far as welfare and assistance are concerned, its the only thing stopping a full on french style revolution. when the masses start starving to death is when shit is gonna get real

Everyone can move to the suburbs around D.C. That's where a lot of the money ends up.
