Livng in St Petersburg I hear a lot of Rays propaganda to include Longorias comments that it wasn't fair for A-Rod to be playing because he could still make impact on games. Well like it or not the man appealed and can play until the hammer falls. Now with 14 Games to go against Boston & Baltimore if Arod come up huge in those series with hits and the Yankees take 8 of those games unfortunately it helps out Tampa. Betcha they'd be very happy with that. On the other hand if Arod goes hitless in the 6 remaining against Tampa there'd be no damage done they'd be happy with that. As much as I dislike the Rays I'd like to see the Yankees stomp their butts into a mudhole this weekend even if Arod does go hitless. Damn sorry for the incorrect spelling in the title.
Evan Longoria needs to be knocked on his butt with a good fastball. For two reasons: 1) Because he is a punk/scab who is disagreeing with the Collective Bargaining Agreement which allows Arod and ANY player to PLAY while he is appealing a decision/punitive action against him from MLB ...yet I've never heard this Longoria punk complain about any other APPEAL. 2) He is feasting on Yankee pitching and hurting the Yankees with quite a few Home Runs. I think he's more HRs vs the Yankees in the past few years than any other hitter. He seriously needs some serious chin music. Knock him on his ass....lets see him feeling a bit uncomfortable at bat vs the Yankees...wipe that jerky smile off his face. Then evey other at bat after that...show him at least one VERY INSIDE fastball. This is how it's done. If he continues to beat the Yankees' brains in, so be it. At least you're taking the proper measures. It's called HARD BALL !
When did the Yankees ever do this? Certainly not in my life time. Or are we forgetting a certain left handed hitter who lit up the yanks while his teammate sent two yankee batters to the hospital in the same game? the dimished mind of a soon to be 40 year old
Watching Quick Pitch yesterday Ms Rizzo reported that Longoria "owns the Yankees" having more home runs against them than even "Big Pappi". As far ad Longorias comments about Arod the man went 2-9 in the series and hurt no one. Now lets see what happens if he goes big against Baltimore or Boston. I don't like "Head Hunters" but the Yankees Staff needs to get together and play a little chin music instead of letting Logoria settle in up there at the dish.
_____________________________ I believe Fat Papi has been hit a grand total of once by Yankee pitchers since he's been with the Redsox-- and the one time was a couple of years ago when he showed up some young pitcher by dramatically flipping the bat after making contact on a homer.....the next day, after plenty talk in the media, ect, about possible retaliation from the Yanks, he was promptly hit with a nice easy mediocre fastball in the thigh/butt area. Remember?
scab? really? really??? the union is too effing strong as it is... the rule that allows them to play during a suspension appeal is just stupid!
_____________________________________________ Call it what you'd like --- THE PLAYERS and owners agreed on it.... I can see you don't really know too much about working labor unions and contract agreements. You must be one of those "small businessmen" who likes to hire people for half the scale wages. As for being a SCAB --- yep, Longoria is indeed a SCAB for publicly criticizing a fellow union member and siding with "management" ( aka MLB/Commissioner ) before the facts. Yeah yeah ...I know MLB probably has some evidence against Arod --- and he's facing a suspension OVER 200 games and because of the appeal--> the case hasn't been heard yet in court... I'd like to see if YOU would appeal if possible, if YOU were facing a suspension of approx 1 and 1/3 years. You must be a relative of some 19th century land baron.......lmao
He is hard on Yankees pitching only so we have to send him the curse of the Bambino since Yankee pitchers will not make him uncomfortable in the box. He would hope to be in pinstripes but this will never happen just like Manny.
Let's also not forget that he is appealing in hopes to reduce the possibility of lost wages because of the suspension the dimished mind of a soon to be 40 year old
A scab is someone who breaks a strike, and last I checked, baseball was still being played... so how can he possibly be a scab when there is no picket line to cross???????? criticizing a fellow union member does not make him a scab... In this article, the union head, Michael Weiner said "In theory, [the players] could be suspended for five games or 500 games, and we could then choose to challenge that... The commissioner's office is not bound by the scale we have in the basic agreement." http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9482862/mlbpa-says-players-suspended-biogenesis-investigation-likely-serve-bans-2013 and in this article, Michael Weiner says that the MLBPA won't protect PED users... "I can tell you, if we have a case where there really is overwhelming evidence that a player committed a violation of the program, our fight is going to be that they make a deal," Weiner told the Daily News. "We're not interested in having players with overwhelming evidence that they violated the [drug] program out there. Most of the players aren't interested in that. We'd like to have a clean program." http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9488348/michael-weiner-mlbpa-head-says-union-protect-ped-users So, how is Longoria a scab when the UNION HEAD said that they weren't going to support PED users???? Please..... I'll wait...

No clue where you dug up that definition, but even if you go with your definition... he has done nothing to be considered a rascal or scoundrel. Let's look at it, shall we? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rascal has the definition of rascal as "1: a mean, unprincipled, or dishonest person and 2: a mischievous person or animal". Neither apply... he is not mean, he is not unprincipled (or he wouldn't have said something) and not dishonest as he was speaking his opinion... and he did nothing mischievous in his statement either... Now scoundrel... http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/scoundrel which has the definition as ": a disreputable person" how has he done anything disreputable??? simple answer, he hasn't... Now... according to Merriam Webster (see http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/scab) this is the definition of a scab... scab noun \ˈskab\ Definition of SCAB 1: scabies of domestic animals 2: a crust of hardened blood and serum over a wound 3a : a contemptible person, b (1) : a worker who refuses to join a labor union (2) : a union member who refuses to strike or returns to work before a strike has ended (3) : a worker who accepts employment or replaces a union worker during a strike (4) : one who works for less than union wages or on nonunion terms 4: any of various bacterial or fungus diseases of plants characterized by crustaceous spots; also : one of the spots Even if you go with 3a (which no one ever uses as the definition, but only 2 and 3b), contemptible is a highly objective word and is open to wide interpretation... Even if you take out some objectivity, what Longoria did and said was not contemptible... Besides, you never answered the question... How does criticizing a fellow union worker make him a scab, especially when the union head who is authorized to speak on behalf of the union has said 1, that MLB was within its rights, and 2, that the MLBPA wasn't going to defend PED users???? I'm really curious to hear the answer to this... again, I'll wait...
