Was Kosovo in europe? Looks middle east or mediterranian to me. That was a NATO operation. If the US is a leader, then our ambassador will be twisting arms to do what the president wants us to do with approval.
I'm aware of that. I just feel that going into one more middle eastern country should be the decision of and done by the UN.

And that's the real problem. Media companies have become nothing more than jingoistic mouthpieces for whatever party is control. When Bush was in power it was Fox News pounding the war drums. Now that Obama has continued the same executive over-reach it's HuffPo and MSNBC. The death of journalism in this country dovetails nicely with the death of common sense and a cherishing of democratic principles in this country. I need a drink.

For once, I agree with PapaG. We don't really know who made those chemical attacks, while it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was Assad. Comparing Saddam and Assad at this point might be fair.
Either the U.S. always waits too long to intervene and only does so when it's in our best interest, or the U.S. needs to butt out and quit acting like the world police and just let the situation work itself out. Pretty much damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The American media forgot to tell us that Israel is busy attacking with or without us. Why not let Israel fight their own wars instead of bankrupting the U.S., in order to maintain all of Israel's neighbors in permanent disheaval.
