Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach is sick and tired of hearing Tony Romo get ripped for the Dallas Cowboys' lack of success.

"If there's a bigger Romo fan in town, I don't know who it is," said Staubach, one of many former Cowboys who attended the team's open practice at AT&T Stadium and private dinner. "I want to argue with all my negative Romo fans and let them know and tell them how great this guy is."

Staubach was the QB when I first watch the Cowboys play. Laundry would switch between him and Craig Morton. Mid way during the season he stuck with Staubach and he went undefeated the rest of the season all the way to the SB winning Dallas's first SB.

The media has made a giant story of Romo by just reiterating inaccurate information and dwelling one or two things while discounting everything else. Romo's a great QB but because he is a Cowboy until he wins a SB(If he does) then the Media will never stop exaggerating and just straight making things up because talking bad about the Cowboys brings in ratings.
There is a very good reason that Aikmen and Staubach, the two greatest QB's in franchise history, are both adamant in their supporter of Romo.

What's new about that? That's what every QB is measured by. That's why you didn't mention Danny White when you stated the Cowboys best QBs.

I have no problem with how QB's are considered "unproven" until they win a SB but what I was talking about is how Romo is portrayed in the media simply because he is the QB of the Dallas Cowboys and the subsequent exaggerated truths that come along with all the media attention he gets. I also didn't mention Danny White, even though he has a ring, because he was before my time and from what i'v read/heard he was a good QB but never great.

White did get them to 3 straight NFC Championship games, but couldn't win any of them.
