Chris is a good friend of my dads from childhood. He is definitely no homophobe. He just wants whats best for his bar.
You, your dad, Chris, and everyone else associated with him are clearly homophobes. Jerks! I boycott the bar and you! :MARIS61:
Portland has been renamed The People's Republic of Multnomah County. You can refuse service to whites and Christians but not anyone else. Welcome to the new world order.
Slims got new ownership 4 or 5 years ago. Its pretty much a prototypical Hipster bar now and has been for years. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
For many people, the whole purpose of going to a bar is to meet a certain gender (opposite, if you're hetero, or same, if gay). If you cannot determine gender, you go to a bar where you CAN determine it, where people are undisguised.
Meanwhile tens of thousands of workers are being paid sub-legal wages working in criminally dangerous workplaces. If only BOLI had the stones to take on someone more powerful than bakers and barkeeps.
I have no clue. Haven't been there in a bit and I refuse to do Karaoke so I never pay attention if a place has it. Your cousins bar is two blocks from my house. I walk my dog and daughter by it almost every day. Never been there but iv heard its better then most bars near me ,the wishing well, the ranger, portland city rose, but all those bars are pretty sketchy and are mostly frequented by hardcore alcohlics. I think I'll stay in Texas, where the only people discriminated against here are people who don't live in Texas
On a fun note, my daughter was told by her school counselor that she probably shouldn't waste her time applying for a lot of grants and scholarships because she wasn't black or Hispanic. She was told the only thing she has going for her is her grades, 2000+ SAT score and that she is a female. OUT FUCKING STANDING
That is rooted more in your daughters counselor than anything to do with reality. There are tons of scholarships still available for your daughter, or white people in general. FAFSA still exists, as do pell grants, and scholarships. I think your daughters counselor was projecting a bit much.
I agree with this. MM don't let that counselor stop your daughter for applying for grants and scholarships. (That is just terrible advise from a counselor) There are more out there than people realize and many "white people" receive financial help from partial scholarships.
Some fat Portland 14-year-old got booted from a store for being a fatso, and now she says she's suing. Her lawyer better pick the biggest fatass judge in town.
