Does what kind of car you drive epitomize (first time I've ever typed that word) who you are as a person? If so, explain.
When I see somebody driving a Camero/Mustang or one of those types of cars.....you kinda' get a feel for what type of person they are right?
I almost bought one like this (wasn't this awesome) before I ended up going with my Audi. Love Volvos.
100% absolutely agree that it does. I would say most people who drive a muscle car or jacked up 4x4 have some sort of major self esteem issue Most people who drive a Honda are very cautious Etc
I was golfing yesterday and it's funny to see people's reaction when I hop in my car. Probably because I was golfing in Blazer hoop shorts and a wife beater with tattoos everywhere they expected me to hop into something else! Cracks me up! I think my car matches who I am as a person, but not my looks.
Except the car was for my fiancee, not me. She drives the Camry to work, I ride my motorcycle. I've always thought people who drive BMW, Mercedes, or Audi are trying too hard. The funny part is that most people from Germany laugh at Americans who think a BMW is a status symbol. It's just a car to them, like a Camry.
I drove a 1983 VW GTI from the fall after I graduated HS for 10 years.....ran it into the ground. Last few years it was a piece of shit. When I got to a point where I could afford a nice car I got one. I can understand people wanting to get a fancy car to try and look cool..... but that's not me. I AM cool. My personality is going to show that more than any vehicle I roll. I just think if I'm going to be driving around all the time I want it to be in something with leather/wood grain/heated and AC seats......not plastic on top of plastic. I went a long time HAVING to drive a broke down ride, thought I deserved something of high quality. The little things, the small touches that make you feel comfortable. I think when it comes to getting what you pay for, it applies to cars and houses more than anything. Nate, I didn't mean to give you a hard time about the Camry bro, there is a reason it's the top selling car in the world. I just like a little elegance surrounding me when I drive.
It's a blast to ride. I wish we had nice weather for another few months. Also, if I could buy a super nice car, it would be a Tesla. Those cars are sick as hell, but out of my price range by a mile.
Played golf with a friend last month. He brought his brother in law along and he owned one of those brand new Teslas. Took me for a ride and let me drive it back.....amazing! Sick vehicle!
Yeah, that's the way I would go if I had the money. I just can't do a Prius. It's almost as bad as driving a VW Bug. There's just no way to look manly while driving a Prius. It can't be done.
I think the new bug isn't as bad as the last iteration, but I still think it's impossible for a dude to drive one and not look silly.
