I don't watch it on ESPN because its on BeIn, Fams. BeIn is about a year old and is owned by Al-Jazera. I think most cable/satellite providers offer it now. Comcast in Portland probably has it, but I'm not sure. The first 2 things they did was buy La Liga (Spain) rights as well as the rights to all USMNT's away matches during qualifying. The away match thing is odd because the host countries sell the rights, so it had nothing to do with our soccer federation, which I'm sure would rather be on ESPN, Fox or NBC.

BeIn sports also has Kay Murray as a host, and our former PTFC Charismatic Captain himself.. Ian Joy!

Hey Wheels, what'd you think of Arsenal's summer? Is Ozil enough?

Well that sucked. Maybe we'll have to start the two newbies John Anthony Brooks and Johannsson. And Bradley better be fit. If he played tonight I bet we don't go down 2. He's such a calming presence.

Ozil is a HUGE shot in the arm, but Gunners still behind MCFC, maybe Chelsea, and probably ManU before the end of the campaign.. basically the points were mostly lost to those clubs last couple of years, which widened the gap between between 1 and 3/4. Ozil at least gives AFC the chance to get points from those matches now. I still think another FWD is needed, I really wish they could have gotten Ba on loan (though he wouldnt have helped vs Chelsea) and that other Forward was needed before Podolski was out for 3 months. #3 is still reasonable this year (unfortunately)

I think technically we don't. But it'd put ALOT of pressure on the next 2 games (and we might need help from others). Hopefully we win tomorrow and Panama beats/ties Honduras. If both of those happen, we are in and have the last 2 games to possibly try out some new players.

I'm curious who is playing tomorrow. Due to suspensions, injuries and other issues, I have no clue who our RB, LB (I don't really like Beasley back there), 1 of the CB (Why the hell did Brooks fly back to Germany), CM (no Bradley or Cameron), RM (don't like Zuzi) and CF (no Jozy).

    We might look like

    Howard
    Bedoya Goodson Gonzo Fab
    Beckerman
    Jones Mix
    Donovan Johannsson
    Dempsey

I want to see Guzan, but I doubt Howard gets replaced. Bedoya has been playing well as a FB in a 5 man defense in France (voted best player in a close 2-1 loss to PSG). Beckerman (usually I hate seeing him out there) provides cover for 2 attacking FBs. Maybe Sascha can play that role. I don't know too much about his game, but he did play well at Bosnia. Jones was decent after his horrible 25 minute start on Friday, but I think with Mix he'll be asked to do less distribution and therefore will look better (plus he won't have to worry so much about getting a yellow). Front 3 make the most sense to me since Aron is on fire right now and the only other option is EJ who I don't want to see out there as a starter. Not sure of the formation of the front 3, but those are the guys I think will be out there.

No matter who starts, its going to be nervy as hell. We have huge question marks all over the place and Mexico will be playing desperate.

Oh, and then there is this (the reason CB is a question for tomorrow). Fuck Campbell and fuck the assistant ref who called the foul. Campbell should be shown a retroactive yellow, Besler's should be reversed and the linesman should be suspended.

SoCal is good, but I miss the NW. I just realized its been 7 years since I've lived in the NW. How's your sister liking it down here?

Working the World Cup will be pretty sick, regardless of if the USMNT make it.

I know they kept mentioning that someone was an Arsenal player on loan in..maybe Greece. But I don't remember who they were talking about.
