There was talk about a poker game, what happened to that? Also, is there any news about a meet and greet not in HCP's dungeon?
Im always down for a game of poker. I'd love to take my fellow S2 members money. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
...let's do it! I have a set of clay poker chips and a brand new two deck set of Copag cards that need to be broken in. Find a location and let's start planning. Maybe for opening day (regular or preseason)?
So I'm down, but I would like it to be inclusive so let's figure out what people are comfortable at for a buy-in? 1- Zero $$, only chips 2- $20 buy-in 3- $50 buy-in 4- $100 buy-in 5-$ more Personally, I would suggest #2 or #3, no chips is kind of anti-poker and $100+ is starting to become exclusive.
I think this would be best for most people. Next question is what game/games? Texas Holdem, Omaha, Stud, Draw, Lowball, 2-7, ....... There are so many, I would suggest just No Limit Texas Holdem for the inaugural S2 poker extravaganza 2013. We could plan it during a Blazer game, we could watch the game while playing Poker. But then nobody playing poker could go to the game.
Samesies. But it'd still be fun. Poker is fun. Most of you chumps seem pretty cool. For being chumps and all.
This is a little too complicated for me to figure out without an abacus and ten feet of yarn, but if you've plotted all the graphs and figured out all the permutations and come to that conclusion, I'll go with "away game".
Not during a game or someone, I'm not naming names but most of us screws his wife, would steal my chips while I was watching the game.
No, it's better if it is during a game. Then said person will not be available (since he'll be playing with tape), and this said person's wife WILL be.
20 bucks. during a game would kind of suck, unless the game was super boring. maybe an early game (sunday) and then poker after?
...I am cool with $20 - 50 and a No Limit style tournament setup with an equal number of starting chips and blind raises on a timer (payouts, blinds, and intervals should be determined after we have a total number of players). There is a pretty handy website that sets up the optimal blind structure for given tournament parameters --> http://pokersoup.com/tool/ And even more info here --> http://www.homepokergames.com/
My friends and I used to have hold 'em poker tourneys every other month or so. 12-18 of us each time. We used to mix it up and play tourneys with multiple tables and dealer calls the call before each shuffle, so the game could change with each hand. There's a lot of ways to go about it.
I would be up for a sit n go. Could also have a rebuy/add on. If done during a game, would want it to be an away preseason one.
I used to play that way too in college, until one guy kept calling Chicago (highest spade in the hole) and dealing himself the Ace off the bottom.
