Seems like Nic has been playing France team ball for many months. I thought the guys got a longer summer break than this. This is also the off year where there is no world championships nor the Olympics. Hope it doesn't hurt Nic's Blazers production.
France making a comeback with Nic on the bench (3 fouls). Then Claver's good defense on Parker and on the other end a Sergio-Rudy alley oop.
Claver should've got the putback at the end of regulation. He may have been fouled though. Great block on Parker by Rudy just before that.
They really let them play in this game. This would've been just a constant trudge to the free throw line with NBA refs.
Claver wasn't scoring, but he was really doing a lot, particularly on D. And he was being played big minutes while Rubio was glued to the bench. And San Emeterio, who is a star in Spain and used to be played more than Claver at forward. Same with Mumbru. So this Eurobasket was a big step forward for Claver.
Thank god France won and Nic didn't have to punch Claver in the balls. We need them both back healthy. You would think between the two of them our wing D would be decent.
It's funny: they were never guarding each other. They put Batum on Calderon and Claver was guarding Diaw mostly (and doubling on Parker).
Seriously, y'alls - you need to watch this game. But if you can't be bothered, here are the highlights: Spoiler alert:
