We got side tracked in a different thread. http://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm Click on 2011 for charts. But explain to me why it goes Asian - white - black - Latino in terms of median $ per week. Also, why do women make less than men? And if Asians and Asian Indians (who might be one of the most oppressed races due to idiots associating them with terrorism) can be more successful than whites, why can't blacks or Latinos? Why can't women make more than men?
Women not making as much as men is the most ridiculous thing ever. I think as far as race goes, it has to do with society. Asian culture is big on school and demands greatness from children, I think it is narrowing, but white families have probably done a better job at that than black and Latino families.
One statistic shows Asians achieve bachelor degrees at a higher rate than any other race. Then whites, blacks, Latinos. I'm not sure that says enough though. Is like to see a stat showing the percentage of race for accounting, computer science, economics, engineering etc. Degrees that provide you with good jobs. And then see the same for ethnic studies, English, woman's studies degrees.
I copied these bullet points from somewhere. Men are more likely to choose more dangerous jobs. 38% of men were in high-paying STEM jobs, as opposed to 7% of women. Far more women work in health-care and education. Men are more likely to pursue high-stress (and therefore higher paid) jobs. Money is motivator for 76% of men, and 29% of women. Independent female business owners make less than half of male business owners. This is when women are in charge of their own income. When women choose the same job as a man, they are paid the same. The wage gap is a myth. Women are paid less not because of the system, but because they choose lower-paying jobs. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505125_162-28246928/the-gender-pay-gap-is-a-complete-myth/
Oh my mistake . . . Asian men are smarter and work harder. It would be even a greater disparity if they stopped handing all the power positions to white people (I just want my kid to have a chance)
Huh? Hmmmm no. I'm actually interested in having a conversation on this. Is anything anyone has said illogical?
Well since you asked, here's some data to talk about http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/labor/news/2013/04/09/59698/the-gender-wage-gap-differs-by-occupation/
Mentioning women in any way is like throwing up the crandc signal. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
