I usually wear jeans. Have a few interviews coming up and probably need to do some slacks or something? I have a few jcrew ones in various colors. Trying to find some mix between something that is comfortable and looks decent.
Usually dockers. They fit well off the shelf, aren't expensive, look decent, don't wrinkle and meet my criteria of being able to finish clothes shopping in 15 minutes or less. But where I work, appearance is not a big deal.
If you just want slacks go over to Nordstrom Rack and look at there Louis Raphael slacks. They are 29.97. You can find some good Blazer jackets over there as well.
If you want a nice comfortable pair of jeans that are in style and don't mind spending a little exta look for AG (Adriano Goldschmied), Mavi Jeans, Joe's or even some of the Levi's.
I own 3 pairs of Levi's, all the same style, one dark blue, one khaki colored, and one black. They're nice enough to wear to work, but I also wear them on all casual occasions as well.
I love going to the opera in Portland and looking around at all the people wearing jeans. So glad this isn't back east when anything less than a 2K suit is laughable.
My own but reading your replies in the homecoming queen thread I see what you're getting at. Dude, if you want to wear your mom's pants just ask her. She'll understand.
