    That is a big hit for Samsung. They are disappointed, but they shouldn't have stole designs from one of the biggest tech companies in the world. Did they think they could pull a Microsoft?

    To be fare those are ridiculous patents and apple stole them as well. They were just smart enough to realize that they could win a law suit about icons with rounded edges ect so they got a patent on them when no one else had thought to yet.

    Also keep in mind that patents have a duration of protection. Someone that held a patent of an "on/off" button can't sue if they are 7 years from the patent date.

    Patent law has become an unmitigated disaster and needs a complete overhaul.
