Are you running Malwarebytes? Yes, the free version removes bad shit for free.

What version of Windows are you running? If it's 64bit up your ram to 6-8gigs. It'll help a little.

Only $199 to buy the windows 8 pro update version. You can add media center for $99 more!

Last two Mac osx upgrades were $29 and $19. iTunes is free and does what media center does.

I just really don't like the feel of the Apple OS. I've played around with it, and I'm just not comfortable. Maybe if I used to more. :dunno:

Damn, what happened to the price of Windows 8? I remember they were practically begging people to buy it at like $40 last year.

What happened to Microsoft? They just don't make stuff people want anymore, and it's looking that way with their game console, and that thing was really popular at one time.

Vista was a debacle. Windows 7 was 64 bit years after apple and Linux were, and it was still windows.

They didn't update xbox for years, and the new one is despised by people with a clue. Egregious billing practices and licenses.

    Late to the smartphone party.

Zero innovation for a long long time.

Inferior product foisted on the masses through monopolistic practices.

    couple questions/comments:

I have an external HD. Is there a way to put ubuntu on the external HD and not on my laptop, so if I decide to change it I can test it out first?

How does one remove ubunto if you don't like it?

Also, does it come with a decent webcam program? I like the one on my laptop, because it has a really nice timelapse option. I can set it up to take pictures every second/minute/hour for like a whole day or more.

I use Spybot and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I do a system scan with both about once a month. I use Microsoft Security Essentials for my full time everyday anti-virus.

I tried spybot search and destroy, but it said to take care of the issues i had to activate the product. I remember there being a free version of it.

Microsoft security essentials. (try it, it's free)

You need a quad core CPU for windows. 2 to run antivirus all the time, the other two to do useful computing.
