Of all the values (family members or physical items don't apply) you hold dear; which one would you not give up no matter what?

Mine is my faith in Christ.

    How about you kids?

I would never give up my unnamed but apparently all encompassing value system.

How about you get more specific Mags. The way I read your post, you'd kill for money, rape, pillage, but you'd always believe in Christ.

Saying you follow the Ten Commandments is more specific, but why not narrow it down more to one thing?

I would never give up on my fervent belief that there is no such thing as Christ.

I honestly don't get the question. My values are who I am, I don't think I could give up on any of them.

Lets say you will die unless you give up one of your values. Which one, would you rather die than give up?

Exactly. I feel like Christians are like Apple users, happy to accept the package as-is (and it seems like a nice package from certain angles), while atheists are rooting their morals and building them up from scratch.

I have a build of Be Excellent To Each Other running right now, and really dig the simplicity and light weight nature of it.

Any of them except my faith in aquaman. No matter what, that faith will stay in tact.

Now if there's one aspect I would regret most losing or compromising, it's my sense of compassion.

Belief in equality of all peoples. Since all other values flow from that.

Honestly, sense of humor. No matter what goes bad in life, no matter how things unravel, humor helps me make sense of it and bring back perspective. And without humor, life would not be worth living.

Kind of an Orwellian question, no? Reminds me of the rat cage sequence when Winston begs them to torture Julia instead.

I'd like to think I'm open-minded enough to believe in a religion if shown proof of it's claims. Sad to see Mags is closed-off to the opposite possibility.

I don't think there's anything I wouldn't be willing to change my mind about if shown enough evidence to the contrary.

Sorry to make you sad. But I would assume you wouldn't understand, since you are without this faith. For those that have it; there really isn't anything that could pursued you otherwise. You actually feel the presence of God.

And the question isn't finding proof something doesn't or does exist. Its someone putting a gun to your head and telling you "You are going to die unless you stop valuing this!"

    What would you die for?
