Making another pitch to bring MLB to the city. http://www.bizjournals.com/portland...na=e_du_pub&s=article_du&ed=2013-10-22&page=2 The one-hour (standard) metro-pop radius is 3million, Portland can support MLB. It's a futile attempt if they go after the MC again. That's. Not. Going. To happen. IMO , the best location is land next to OMSI:
A stadium in the 'burbs? That's so nimby of you. You want it as close to downtown as you can get. #1 - Next to OMSI #2 - Pearl Post Office site #3 - Tear down the atrocity known as the Lloyd Center Mall.
Not if you loathe baseball as much as I do. I'd prefer it to not even be in the 'burbs - but if we do happen to get a team I don't want it to be anywhere near where I live, work or play. Now if we get NHL - put that right smack dab in the middle!
Grimm is back tonight and more importantly . . . "Little People, Big World" returns to Helvetia for new season
Article jsut today of MLB in Portland: Portland's Major League Baseball box score doesn't add up: If a major league player struck out as many times as Portland has in pursuit of high-level professional baseball, he would be demoted to the Richmond Flying Squirrels or some other outlandishly named minor league team. http://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/i...al.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
