Not surprising the national announcers are completely SEC cocksuckers because the SEC brings in more money then any other conference to ESPN. I turned on the radio announcers before the game even began. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
I am, but I hate Stanford but need to root for them just so when we face them a win will be important. Damn. If you have a comcast box, you can download a comcast remote app and control it from your phone.
Scary stat - Stanford sacked Mannion 8 times. They also stuffed the running game...but the Beavs aren't very good in that department anyway. Next week could be a knuckle-biter.
Now the Ducks got some 1st hand experience with a very good run defense. I think they've learned that DAT at RB is not the way to go against such teams.
want to bet on that? funny game thread read with the usual folks pissing their pants and spouting silly hyperbole. Great game for the Ducks! With the way they liberally rotate in waves of players from down the depth chart, if the opponent is "hanging in" at halftime, they're actually trailing because their talent is more worn out then Oregon's. DAT obviously isn't 100% yet but they've so much quality depth waiting behind him that it didn't matter. Marshall and Tyner are studs too and Marcus is one step closer to a Heisman. Loved the punt fake alla Michael Clay in the civil war a few years back. STOMP
I don't think we jump FSU in the BCS standings until we beat Stanford and our strength of schedule grows.
What could really hurt the Ducks is if the media starts believing their own hype and puts FSU ahead of us on the AP.
your thinking will be proved wrong later today when the next BCS standings come out. The Ducks barely trailed FSU in last weeks BCS standings. The Nols played a tomato can (NC St) while Oregon beat the #12 team in the country. Oregon already led FSU in both the human polls which makes up 2/3rds of the BCS, now their Strength of Schedule will get a decent bump in the computer poll which makes up the other 1/3rd STOMP
last week Oregon led FSU by 32 points in the AP. They now lead by 42 http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/poll/1 STOMP
Defending 2x national champs. Until they lose they've earned the right to be considered the best in the nation.
That's not really how it should work though.... the rankings aren't supposed to reflect last season. Hell, a lot of very good players which contributed to Bama, and the Ducks, and LSU, are now in the NFL.
