Finally we are rid of him! I call BS! This is just another attention seeking ploy by HCP. Watch and see.
It's not like he ever crossed the company line here. Never provided any insight or off the record stuff about the team (cuz I always wished he did, given the amount of access he had). So I doubt it was management telling him to stop. I mean, he was just an extension of Casey and Sarah on twitter, and they're both seemingly regulated by the team itself.
Agreed. HCP/John has never given us one tiny little tidbit of useful or inside information in all the years we've known him. I'm not even sure he knows what a basketball looks like. So, if it was some Major League Asshole from corporate telling him to stop posting, maybe they thought he was embarrassing the franchise in some other way? Like maybe someone doesn't approve of our humor, banter, and inside jokes? There is no way to know. But he's so gregarious and outgoing, and I truly believe he values the friendships he has here, that it is a mystery why he would leave the site.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. We don't want our door to smell like taco farts.
That reminds me, for some reason this video seems appropriate for HCP's departure:
I doubt it. With all of the restructuring of management that's gone on with the Blazers I'll bet he got a cease and desist order from one of his bosses about his presence here.
Thanks for the positive thoughts, jlprk. But I'm far to smart (and white) to be confused with HCP (no disrespect, FAMS). Do you really think HCP could have written that last of your "This week's favorites"? I mean, I suppose I could be BG, and I have been pretending to be HCP all this time as my alter-ego. But alas, if nothing else, I figured my love of wine and high-end suburbs would be enough to distance from anyone confusing me with HCP.
