Chicago was supposed to be the preferred Aldridge destination and they just got pwned by Indiana, so maybe they'll be more interested.

    Yes he was.

His one comment offered nothing to the topic other than to question a poster. OFFER SOMETHING or move the fuck along

It's not a fair deal, not even close.

Jones and Montie are mediocre prospects at best.

    Two low-firsts aren't appealing.

You're basically trading LMA for a Przybilla level player.

I like the idea of that Charlotte pick. What kind of protection is on that again?

Mirotic would be nice as well.....what else would be fair?

Reasons why I hate this idea:
    1. I hate the idea of helping Houston, now my least fave team in the league.
    2. Motiejunas is junk - if you hate Leonard, why would you want him?
    3. Jones is junk and a punk (he's a junk punk)
    4. Asik only makes sense if we have a PF who can really score. Oh, that's Aldridge, whom we lose in this deal.
    5. Houston picks would be low LOW first round.

The only assets we should consider for Aldridge are potential breakout stars (you know, like Harden two years ago or Bledsoe last year) or unprotected picks in the 2014 draft from teams that aren't guaranteed to make the playoffs. Strangely enough, teams aren't eager to move those assets.

For one, forget Houston. They don't have the pieces to come close.

I'd look at Chicago perhaps for the CHA pick or Mirotic with other pieces.

    Or a darkhorse: Brook Lopez.

that isn't the criteria for this thread, or any thread on this board, ever. If it was, your posts, my posts, and PVC's post total, would be about 1/3rd.

Take a look, again, at what he said. But instead of looking at it defensively, look at it via each sentence.

    Didn't the 2013 draft already happen? http://nbadraft.net/nba_draft_history/index.html

Not critical. If anything it's a clarification. I personally thought you meant a different year, and accidentally typed last years pick (instead of just saying the players name, which I think most people would've understood).

    #2.
Also, who's 2014 pick is that? Houston's or from another team? That pick won't be worth much if it's from Houston...

Again, not being critical. And actually, it IS offering up something to the topic, saying the pick wouldn't (probably) be that high of a pick from Houston.

    #3
So essentially, you think it's fair value to trade LA for Asik, Motiejunas, and Jones?

This is really the only sentence that one could argue is "criticizing", but I'm not sure it warranted the response it got.

Just saying, how you responded might just be a bit of an overreaction to what dviss said.

Are you suggesting that we only have people respond to these threads who themselves have trade ideas? We can only comment on the subject if we have our own trade scenario?

I'm not sure thats fair or even a practical standard to set.

Although I suspect you're just doing it because that's your 'character', you'll notice that I actually didn't mod anything.

    It's not a real argument

I am just hoping other people have different ideas on what would be fair for not only us, but the team trading for him.

Would Milwaukee deal Henson in a package?

Would OKC deal Lamb, PJ3, Adams in a package?

I like Adams but you're likely going to have to take on Perkins and his ugly contract.

I like that idea though (Adams).

    Would OKC do that?
